The University of Hohenheim is organising an “Autumn Academy” for PhD-students from Eastern European countries (in a broad sense, CEC and CIS). Mainly PhD-students from University of Hohenheim will be invited, but some places are also available for non-Hohenheim-students. Travel costs and subsistence expenses can unfortunately not be covered by the project. On behalf of my colleague Angelika Thomas I am happy to provide you with further information below and attached to this mail.
Project information: 'MOEL' is the acronym of a DAAD programme. The website https://moel.uni-hohenheim.de informs especially with the news about the autumn academy.
Autumn Academy 2011: Large Farm Management
The autumn academy 2011 is dedicated to the subject "Large Farm Management". The seminar days (4-6 and 11 October) as well as the excursion (7-9 October) are organised as further training especially for you PhD students from Eastern European countries (in a broad sense, CEC and CIS) at the University of Hohenheim. Working language is English. Part of the programme is also a public conference day on Monday, 11 October 2011, taking place in the Balcony Hall of the Hohenheim Castle with international experts and representatives of agro-holdings. You can get the printed programme flyer at the Eastern Europe Centre and the download also on the website.
As you have preference for the limited number of spaces and to better plan with requests from other PhD students or interested persons, we ask you for your registration until August 31th.

01.08.2011: We regret to inform you that EMA2-IAMONET-RU has not been selected from the European Commission for further funding in 2011. After four years of offering scholarships for studies, research and Academic Staff mobilty, we are unfortunately not able to offer grants this year. Nevertheless if you are interested in studying and researching at one of the involved partner universities in EU and Russia, please contact the local coordinators of each university. They will be happy to provide you with information as well as inform you about other sources of funding.
15.06.2011: EMA2 opens new perspectives for young researchers. Please find here the report of the Russian post doctorate student Viktor Turlyun, who is currently studying at University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart in Germany. 01.06.2011: Thank you very much for submitting your documents within the 2nd call for Master and Academic Staff grants. The results are going to be announced until 30.06.2011 at the latest to the coordinator of each TG1-institution as well as to the Regional Office (for Target Group 2).

Выставка "Образование и карьера" - 2010

12 ноября (пятница) в 14.00 в Гостином дворе, в рамках 32-й Московской международной выставки-ярмарки "Образование и карьера" состоится презентация нашего проекта «IAMONET-RU". Презентацию готовит координатор проекта от России Надежда Акканина (РГАУ-МСХА имени К.А. Тимирязева).
По просьбе представителей организаторов выставки мы приглашаем к участию в презентации наших выпускников: чтобы заинтересованные лица могли получить консультацию по процедуре подачи заявок, отбору, оформлению выезда, учебе за рубежом и т.д. «из первых рук»!
Так что «добро пожаловать» и тем, кто уже был участником проекта, и тем, кто только собирается поучаствовать в нем.

IAMONET-RU at the "Science Festival" at Moscow State University

09 октября в 10.30 в рамках V Фестиваля Науки на факультете почвоведения (Ленинские Горы строение 1 корпус 12 аудитория М-2) состоится презентация Менеджера проекта IAMONET-RU г-жи Мелани Дамс, которая расскажет о возможностях участия в проекте для студентов, аспирантов и научных сотрудников, а также расскажет о результатах работы консорциу ма и перспективах его развития.
На сайте биологического факультета www.bio.msu.ru в разделе контакты помещена подр обная схема, как можно добраться до факультета (биологи и почвоведы находятся в одном здании).

:: University of Hohenheim: Presentations of Masterthesis

The next full program students are going to finish soon...Within this respect the next presentations of Masterthesis will take place: Wednesday, 07.07.2010 at 17.00 at University of Hohenheim in Eastern Europe Centre, Wollgrasweg 43, room 16. The students will present their approaches, objectives and preliminary results of their MSc-thesis. After the presentations a discussion is planned how the project IAMONET-RU influenced the personal life and how it supported the prospective career of the grantees.

In the upcoming week there are 2 events planned within the framework of IAMONET-RU:
1. On Tuesday, 22.06.2010, the next Alumni-Meeting will be held at the Omsk State Agrarian University in Omsk, Russia. The main focus of the meeting is to use the chance for an informal "get together" in the region with Alumni, who participated in the program since 2007/2008. On the Agenda there are presentations about the idea and the objectives of our Alumni-Assocation. Furthermore two representatives from companies are invited to underline the importance of a study stay abroad as a key factor for a sucessful career entry in the home country. The meeting will be also used for working on the further alumni-work with creating new ideas and the selection of 2 local alumni-representatives. At the end of the meeting a competition of the best "mobility photo" is planned.
If you would like to attend the meeting and you did not receive our invitation yet, please write a short mail to Melanie Dahms (dahms@uni-hohenheim.de) with the info that you would like to come. We are happy welcoming you in Siberia!

Please note: The grants for 2010/2011 can be only awarded under the condition that the European Commission will grant the prolongation of IAMONET-RU within the program Erasmus Mundus Partnerships Action 2. The results are expected in July 2010.

:: Partner Universities: Informationmeeting about the project
02.02.2010: All of our partner offer Information meetings for the new application round during the next weeks. If you are interested in particiapting at one of those meetings, please contact the local coordinators directly for further details. One of the meetings take place on Thursday, 04.02.2010 at Buryat State Agricultural Academy in Ulan Ude. Start: 3.00 pm in room 315 (main building). Contact person: Zoya Yampilova - Head of International Office. The IROs of the partner universities will be happy to welcome you!

:: New application period for study year 2010/2011:
Submission deadline of applications: Monday, 01.03.2010
All Applicants are requested to submit the complete package of documents (electronic documents and hard paper copies) until Monday, 01.03.2010.
Applicants of Target Group 1 (partner universities) are invited to submit the documents to the local coordinator of your home university (Target Group 1).
Applicants of Target Group 2 (non partner universities) are requested to submit the applications to the Regional office at Timiryazev-Academy. The contact person is Nadezhda Akkanina. You can find her contact details in the section contact.
Please note: The grants for 2010/2011 can be only awarded under the condition that the European Commission grants the prolongation of the project for the next project year.
