1. Marina P. - Master student for 22 months
Home University: Stavropol State Agrarian University, RF
Host University: University of Udine, Italy.
Marina was born in 1986 and has been awarded in the second project round (project duration: 2008 - 2012) and started in 2008 with her master degree. She finished in December 2010. Currently she is working in an international company working between Russia and Italy.

In which way did the program influence you and your life?
Marina: This program helped me to acquire not only international experience, but also a life experience. From living on my own during almost 2 years in Italy under the project IAMONET-RU, I have grown a lot, physically and mentally. I now have greater confidence in whatever I pursue than I ever had before.
What are your professional achievements since you have finished the project up to now?
Marina: Since I have graduate from University of Udine, Economics department, I found a job in the company that works with Russia. It is a furniture distribution. My role there is to maintain the development of relationships between Russian and Italian companies like supplier-client. I work in commercial department. So, the knowledge I’ve got in University help me a lot not only on professional level, but also on the personal one.
What are you personal achievements since you have finished the project up to now?
Marina: I realized the world is so different that You will never finish to discover it. Travelling a lot, communicating with different people helped me to be open-minded, and learning in another language helped me to be responsible and motivated person.

2. Anastasiya Z. – PhD student for 34 months, Target Group 2

Anastasiya was born in 1980 and has been awarded the full PhD grant under Erasmus Mundus project as a Target Group 2 applicant.

In which way did the program influence you and your life?
Anastasiya: First of all, it influenced me professionally. This influence is difficult to trace now as the knowledge and information I obtained became an important part of my every day understanding of humanities and social studies to be precise the empirical experience of being a student at the University of Udine. I was lucky to familiarize myself with the scope of research themes, the practices and methodology of conducting research in Europe. I highly value the organization of PhD students’ seminars and the collaboration of PhD students and professors at the University. I think this experience have affected the career path that I choose to follow.
What are your professional achievements since you have finished the project up to now?
Anastasiya: I am finishing my dissertation at the moment. During my mobility I have participated in the research of the Department of Human Sciences of the University of Udine and in the publication based on the results of this research. I also took part in the events and workshops of the Institute of International Sociology, Italy, Migration Policy Institute, USA, International Centre for Migration Policy Development, Austria. Moreover, as a volunteer I conducted a class for the students of the University of Udine that gave me teaching experience and a better understanding of the Italian culture and mentality as an added value.
What are you personal achievements since you have finished the project up to now?
I would like to underline my academic and research achievements once again. For example, I became an honorary member of the Centre of the Development of the Relations between Italy and Russia due to the activities of my fieldwork that became possible under Erasmus Mundus project.
